From total darkness, a spark. Our hero floats in a void lifeless, swallowed by shadow. But deep inside, a whisper stirs: “…Not yet.” Echoes of memory flicker around him, her smile, the café, the stray cat, his brother. Fragmented and fragile, but still his. His chest begins to glow. Faintly, then brighter. He rises.

Torn, cracked, barely holding together, he pulls himself from the abyss. Lightning flashes. Storm clouds swirl. He breaks through alive & changed. A storm of his own.

Back in the city, the villain senses his return. They clash once more, shadow versus light. But something’s different this time. Every blow the villain lands only fuels him. The hero doesn’t run. He doesn’t fight back in anger. He absorbs the pain and transforms it. The battle becomes surreal, light and shadow twisting like oil and water. The villain splits into fractured reflections of every fear and wound the hero has ever had. But instead of destroying them, he embraces them. With a blinding burst of light, the shadows shatter. The villain falls, hollowed and human.

Peace follows & his brother returns. Day breaks and the city begins to breathe again. A mural rises in his honor but he doesn’t bask in it, instead he walks hand in hand with the girl he loves. He repairs what’s been broken.

And on a rooftop beneath a gentle wind, he watches over the city. Not as a legend, but as someone who belongs. His shadow no longer looms long and he is whole again. The storm has passed...for now.
