We pick up right where we left off, our hero and the woman he loves walking away together. For a moment, there’s peace. But with love comes vulnerability, and something in him is changing. Later, he stares at his himself. His eyes dim. Something’s wrong. The city feels heavier and darker as rain pours steadily. He tries to tap into his powers… but nothing happens. He’s unraveling both mentally and physically. The weight of the world, of love, of expectation, it’s crushing him and the villain is watching. The shadowy figure emerges from the darkness, stronger than ever. He’s been waiting for this, for the exact moment our hero breaks. A final battle begins, but this time it’s not even close. Our hero stumbles, struck down again and again. Rain pelts his face as he collapses onto the cold pavement. The world turns grey, the villain stands tall. Our hero’s hand reaches up, one last grasp at hope and then, he’s gone. Swallowed by shadow. It feels like the end. The night has won.
